Registration Now Open
Registration for the 2026-27 Eastern Ontario season is now open to approved Ontario Basketball and Basketball Quebec teams. Please check with your club whether they plan to register all teams in the organization, or whether coaches/managers are expected to register individually prior to completing checkout.
The 2026-27 season will feature 12 regular season games, plus end of year championships for each age group. Teams are encouraged to check with their club’s director of competitive to determine whether they should register for A / AA / AAA competition to begin the season. After the 6 game mark, all results will be reviewed by the EOBA’s competition committee to determine whether teams should be moved up or down divisions based on previous game results.
League play for U10-U14 aged teams (boys and girls) will begin on October 30th, 2026. High School girls (U15-U19) will begin play on November 20th, 2026. High School boys (U15-19) will begin play following the conclusion of the scholastic season, but will have 2-4 games scheduled prior to tipping off officially in 2027.
Where are games played?
The Eastern Ontario region spans from Belleville to Gatineau and encompasses Kingston, Brockville, Ottawa, and the surrounding counties. Teams signing up for league play should expect travel to any of these regions, depending on the final composition of their age group’s division. Should a team be required to travel out of town, every effort will be made to ensure that they have multiple games scheduled (ex: tri-meet format).
Are EOBA games sanctioned?
Yes, all EOBA games are sanctioned by Ontario Basketball and feature carded officials from the host team’s respective region (ex: OVBABO, Seaway, KDBABO etc.). As such, players, coaches, and spectators alike are expected to adhere to all OBA code of conduct policies throughout the season.
